| Joe Bell, owner-operator of Cabin Creek Timber Frames,
Inc. traveled to Charlotte, NC as a part of the SMAT (State
Medical Assistance Team ) to evaluate the health status of
500 persons who were brought to Charlotte after Hurricane
Katrina. After spending the week there he was asked by SMAT
to travel to Waveland Mississippi to be an anesthesiologist
with the North Carolina mobile hospital unit there. The
mobile hospital was approximately a hundred bed hospital
with twelve ICU beds and two operating rooms. The mobile
hospital was carried on two tractor trailer units along with
necessary supplies. “Waveland was totally decimated up
to a mile inland. The families there were most grateful for
anything we could do to help. All of us were grateful that
we could help.” |

beamery and timber frame office complex. Our timber frames sales
office is 1500 sq ft of ‘post & plate’ style
timber framing. Our new beamery is comprised of a 6000 sq ft
cutting facility where our timber framers do the majority of
work and a 1500 sq ft machine shop where our radial arm saw,
band saw, and specialty machine work is preformed. |
