The Airport Design Center, Fletcher, North Carolina
This is a new facility with two buildings, 40,000 sq.
ft., that will be customized for showroom/office with
warehouse and/or manufacturing space in the rear. The
spaces start from 1,000 sq. ft. to 10,000 sq. ft.
depending on need. The Airport Design Center is where
firms can showcase their businesses, their products and
services, and this is where leading builders and
designers will bring their clients shopping for a look.

Macon County Public Library 81 Siler Road,
Franklin, NCThe Macon County
Public Library on Siler Road is a large building with
three parts: The center core is a Douglas fir timber
frame with concrete and steel meeting rooms and shelving
on either side. The central core and porte -cochere were
built from 35,000 board feet of Douglas fir.
The
large reading area in the central core utilizes double
hammer beams bents reaching almost thirty-five feet

Timber Frame Office, Showroom and Beamery Otto,
North CarolinaThe main timber
frame is composed of four crown post bents with common
rafters; the timber frame features double curved arched
knee braces. The timber frame entry porch has been
designed so that the two bents are significantly
different in style. This timber frame office structure
attaches to a manufacturing complex south of Franklin on
Hwy 441 in Otto, NC. Click

The Lofts at Mills Mill Greenville,
South Carolina Cabin Creek Timber
Frames was happy to partner with New South Construction,
Inc. to breathe new life into Mills Mill located in the
heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The old
mill was built in 1896 and started producing fine
materials the next spring. In 1978 it closed its doors
as a producer of fine fabrics. It has housed a myriad
of businesses since then. Click

A Timber Frame Tasting Room & Events Building
for A North Georgia WineryThe
timber frame portion of this project is comprised
entirely of cypress. The timber frame was designed by
Cabin Creek Timber Frames in-house staff. The
timber frame structure is 5000+ sq. ft.
It
features a wide entry that leads to the elegant tasting
bar. Behind the center core of the timber frame
structure lies an elegant dinning/event area. Upstairs
is an area that could accommodate intimate weddings or
several elegant gatherings. Click

Timber Frame Stables near Sylva, North CarolinaThis
timber frame stable was designed for a group of friends
that share the love, lore, and enjoyment of the company
of fine horses. Teddy Roosevelt is oft quoted there
is something about the outside of a horse that is good
for the inside of a man. There are eight twelve
feet by twelve foot stalls in this wonderful equine

Climbing Wall & Outdoor Events Pavilion at
Camp Arrowhead Cabin Creek Road Tuxedo, North
CarolinaThe timber frame climbing
wall at Camp Arrowhead is twenty-four feet high by
thirty-six feet wide. The campers learn to climb the
wall using hand and foot holds and are in climbing
harnesses and under the constant supervision of the camp
staff.
Adjacent to the timber frame climbing
wall is a twenty-four by thirty-six foot timber frame
event building. This building is frequently used for
dances, parents day, and other gatherings the camp
puts on each year; and proves very useful in rainy

Stables at Camp Arrowhead in Creek Road Tuxedo,
North CarolinaThe timber used in
the camps timber frame stables was harvested from
trees on the Camp Arrowhead property.
The
stables at Camp Arrowhead consist of twenty-four twelve
foot by twelve foot horse stalls divided by a twelve
foot center isle. The building also has a feed and tack

handcrafted timber frame of Eastern White Pine using
crossed curved collar ties, crossed hip rafters, and a
central crown post and pendant. There was no lack of
imagination, ingenuity, or skill here. Click

Timber Frame Gazebo, Walking Trail, Biltmore Lakes,
Asheville, NC This cypress timber
frame gazebo is on Biltmore Lakes walking trail in
Asheville, NC. Even the railings were tenoned into the
posts. The owners stained the timbers with a fruitwood
stain. Click

Scott Phiffer Home in Gainesville, FloridaCabin
Creek is currently involved with the Historic
Society of Alachua County Florida in a partial
renovation of the Scott Phiffer house. The house is
a timber frame home near Cross Creek, Florida. This
timber frame home was cut by slaves in the 1800s.
The timbers are marked for placement with incised
roman numerals. |
Cabin Creek Timber Frames & New SouthCabin
Creek Timber Frames will once again partner with New
South Construction of Atlanta, Georgia on a one of a
kind custom timber frame reconstruction. This
project will be a reworking of an existing special
events facility here in western North Carolina.
